A SHORT DRAMATIC HISTORY (a.k.a. my bio)

After toiling in the creative marketing trenches of The Walt Disney Studios, Tim has brushed off the pixie dust and embarked on his own magical storytelling adventures.

He has a BA in Theatre from Western Kentucky University, an MFA in playwriting from Southern Illinois University, and invaluable experience writing for the campiest of low-budget children’s TV shows at WSIU-TV, "The Jo-Jo and Joyce Club."

As an intern, Tim worked in marketing for San Francisco's Eureka Theatre Company, reporting to Oskar Eustis and Tony Taccone. He assisted in the promotion of a staged reading of Tony Kushner's "A Bright Room Called Day" and Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard," among other great works.

In 2023, Tim’s comedy "Hot Beef" was one of six finalists in Memphis, Tennessee’s Playhouse on the Square NewWorks@TheWorks Playwriting Competition. It was presented there in a staged reading. In 2024, "Hot Beef" was also named a Second Rounder script by Austin Film Festival.

Tim is a writers pool member of Playground-LA, where his holiday play "Ho-Ho, Oh No!" was presented during Monday Night Playground at the Broadwater Second Stage in December, 2024.

"The Interloper," his haunting ten-minute family drama, was presented by Surfside Playhouse in Cocoa Beach, Florida on March 8, 2025.

His "On Delivery" was produced in New York's Fresh Fruit Festival in March, 2025, making it to the finals of the festival, which was held at Theater for the New City in the East Village.

His plays have been produced on stages in New York, Illinois, and San Francisco (“Best viewed while drunk” is a memorable critic’s rave for his and Tom W. Kelly’s bawdy comedy "Hotel Bethlehem").

He is currently shopping around a children’s musical "LuLu Lucy," which is written with composer John Gerdes. "LuLu Lucy" was presented in a series of staged readings/sing-throughs in St. Louis at Greenfinch Theater and Dive in July, 2024.
